Failing to report a serious crime |
|
| |
Failing to report a serious crime to authorities when a man or woman deliberately and knowingly withholds information and/or evidence from law enforcement officers regarding one or more serious crimes. |

Primary Fact(s) |
| 1. That a serious crime occurred at a particular time and place; and |
| 2. That some time after the date of the offence, law enforcement officials became aware of the alleged crime; and |
| 3. Because of the intervening period from the time of the offence and the time that law enforcement officials first became aware of the alleged serious crime important evidence was either lost, removed and/or deliberately changed; and |
| 4. That the actions of the accused contributed to the non-reporting of the alleged crime to law enforcement officials; and |
| 5. That the actions of the accused were done with the knowledge and intent of withholding information concerning the alleged crime. |
