Article 113-Animal research and testing |
| 113.1 |
Animal research and testing |
| |
Animal research and testing is when animals are used as test subjects for the conducting of both medical and commercial research. |
| |
The use of animals for research and testing has accelerated in many industries and locations as laws against human testing have increased and as the demand for new synthetically designed pharmaceuticals and other materials has also increased. |
| 113.2 |
All animals used for testing must be registered |
| |
All animals used for testing must be registered. The possession of an unregistered animal for the purpose of any research and testing by a commercial, non commercial or government institution shall be considered a serious civil offence. |
| 113.3 |
All test animals are subject to basic rights and all offences are subject to the Criminal Code |
| |
No excuse, nor ignorance of this Code and the Criminal Code shall be permitted in regards to the fact that all animals registered for analysis and testing have the same rights as all other animals stated in this Code. |
| |
In addition, any person subjecting an animal to cruel torture or uneccessary death shall themselves be liable for criminal prosecution under the Criminal Code of United America. |
| |
Furthermore, any institution, regardless of its non-profit, commercial or government status that is found to have engaged in repeated criminal acts concerning the use of animals for cruel and morally depraved experiments whether it includes the murder of such animals shall be liable for closure including punitive damages. |
